This book is purposely divided into six volumes. This allows you to buy those that cover your interests or keep different volumes open simultaneously on the desk or computer. You are now holding volume 4

Volume 4-Electricity and Magnetism-This volume starts by discussing the electron properties and the electric fields. Then, it describes the direct and alternating voltages and currents and their power; it continues with the magnetic fields, the electromagnetic waves, and Maxwell’s laws. Then, it covers many electromagnetic devices, generators, motors, cyclotrons, and others. Finally, it ends by covering passive electrical devices (capacitance, resistance, and inductance) and active electronic devices (semiconductor diodes, transistors, Integrated circuits, LEDs, Solar cells, etc.), including a section on the fabrication of these devices.
You will be surprised by how easy it is and how surprising some results are.

Volume 1-The Physicist’s Toolbox-With just a few pages, it explains all the mathematical emojis and fundamental concepts used in this book.
Volume 2-Mechanics – Newton’s laws of motion, work, energy, momentum and power
Volume 3-States of Nature and Thermodynamics -properties of solids, liquids, and gases, heat laws and properties, devices, and engines.
Volume 5-Light and optics – Light properties, mirrors, lenses, and optical instruments.
Volume 6 – Modern physics – Atomic and Nuclear physics, Relativity and Quantum Mechanics.
Anyone can use this book as a reference or review, but the primary audience is individuals who want to understand real physics without struggling with mathematical complexities. Only mathematical symbols, emojis, are needed.

Dr. George Domingo obtained his Ph.D. at UCLA. He started his career as an engineering faculty at Northrop University (11 years), worked in industry on infrared detector technology (20 years), and led the development of the infrared detectors for the SPITZER and JWST astronomical observatories (15 years) as an employee and consultant of NASA. He published two books, “Introduction to Electrical Engineering” and “Semiconductor Basics” and numerous papers.
